Snowboard Brands - Plenty Of Variety But Try Before You Buy

The sport of snowboarding is a growing sport hence the large variety of snowboard brands available.

This rapid increase in snowboard equipment is down to the popularity of the sport at the Olympics and many extreme sports events.
This article will list some good snowboard brands and some things to look out for before purchasing a board or other related gear.
 

Renting Before Purchase

Possibly the best way to select your snowboard is to try before you buy. You can get pretty much anything you want but the biggest costing equipment, in terms of snowboarding is the board. It makes sense to rent before buying as you can firstly confirm that snowboarding is the sport for you. You can then test out various boards and get a feel for the type of board that is right for you and even the brand.

Most people will go for an all rounder or all mountain board. Other boards, made for the half pipe, are shorter. Some boards are made for speed and will have less of a curved edge and will be longer. The important thing is to get an all mountain board based on your weight and height.

Men's boards are different to Women's in terms of length. They will also have different designs but there is nothing stopping either sex from using the others boards. Children also have different boards based on their size.

If you are looking for all mountain boarding then you can't go past snowboards like Rome Anthem, Flow Team, Arbor Element and many of the Burton snowboards.

The expensive boards are often highly specialized boards that are made for tight turns or speed riding. These types of boards will often get cheaper at the end of the snow season. You can find a large selection of boards online these days. It is often hard to buy a board online because you want to touch and feel it so it is a good idea to try out the board you are thinking about buying first.
